What it does
Merchants can now define payment eligibility rules at the SKU and delivery region level. This makes it possible to offer EBT/SNAP in the US, a regulated payment method that applies only to specific product categories (such as food and groceries) and geographic areas. The rules are applied automatically at checkout, ensuring shoppers see only the payment methods available for their cart and location.
Benefits
- EBT/SNAP acceptance: Unlocks a key payment method for grocery and food retailers in the US, expanding the addressable customer base.
- Precise payment control: Rules defined at the SKU and region level prevent ineligible payment methods from appearing at checkout, reducing errors and compliance risk.
- Higher conversion: Offering relevant payment methods — like EBT for food SKUs — increases purchase completion among shoppers who rely on government-assisted payment programs.
How to use
