What it does
New FastStore stores onboarded through WebOps are now connected to the new VTEX CMS by default, replacing the previous legacy hCMS. This ensures that new projects start with the current content management architecture from day one — with support for multi-language, AI-assisted content generation, and scheduled publishing — without requiring a migration step after go-live.
Benefits
- Right architecture from day one: New stores are connected to the new CMS during onboarding, eliminating the need to migrate away from legacy hCMS after launch.
- Access to new CMS capabilities: New projects immediately benefit from multi-language content, AI content assistance, and scheduling features available in the new CMS.
- Cleaner project structure: Removing the legacy CMS dependency simplifies the initial setup and reduces long-term technical debt.
How to use
The updated onboarding flow is applied automatically to all new FastStore projects created through WebOps. Existing stores are not affected. Refer to the WebOps onboarding documentation for setup details.
